We thought about so many things As we held tightly to your hand Oh, how we wished that you were strong And happy once again But your eyes were looking homeward To that place beyond the sky Where Jesus held his out stretched arms It was time to say goodbye We struggled with our selfish thoughts For we wanted you to stay So we could walk and talk again Like we did....just yesterday But Jesus knew the answer And we knew you loved him so So we gave to you life's greatest gift The gift of letting go Miss you always Mum Christine and David, Geraldine and Graham, Peter and Susan, Julie and Wayne One quiet day the angels came And took grandma far away But in the stillness of the night We could almost hear her say Dear grandchildren - I will miss you You mean so much to me But Jesus called me to his side In heaven I will be A place of God's great beauty No tears or earthly cares Only peace and joy forever And loved beyond compare So remember all the good times Don't think about the sad Treasure all the special moments Through the years we've always had And if you trust in Jesus I can promise this and more You will get a hug from grandma Some day on heavens golden shore All your loving grandchildren and great grandchildren
