DELICIOUS at The Fusiliers is on the march again at it hopes to achieve an enviable double by retaining the category it won in the awards last year.

Owner Wendy Wray bought Delicious in Silver Street, Bury, in 2008 and subsequently began trading at the town’s Fusilier Museum three years later.

Delicious provides a wide range of homemade, takeaway items, including sandwiches, salads, soups, cakes and specials and caters for all corporate and special events.

The number of staff has grown from five in 2009 to 10 permanent and four casual members. And all of its fresh produce is bought from local suppliers in order to support independent businesses.

Wendy says: “I have no plans to take Delicious out of Bury in the near future. My focus is in Bury and its surrounding areas. The outside catering side of the business takes us further but everyday business is local.”

An ethos to keeping the customers satisfied is illustrated by the fact that Delicious has received more than 600 testimonials during the last five years. “I feel that Delicious and Delicious at The Fusiliers are set apart from any other local catering outlet due to our continual customer service and care to every person who walks through the door,”

Wendy continued. We actually listen to our customers’ wants and needs and action them, attention to detail is paramount and this is on an everyday basis. We have a regular customer base.”

Delicious has been involved in numerous community events and these include a skydive for the Fusilier Museum and cookery demonstrations. The company also provides ongoing job training for its staff.
