MASTER of ceremonies for the event will be popular host Norman Prince.

Norman, a regular on the after diner speaking circuit, has been a familiar face at the awards for many years and always brings his own brand of humour to the proceedings.

And if the former Houghton Weaver isn’t quizzing players at the after match session at The Wanderers, he is usually found entertaining guests on cruise liners.

But on Thursday he will be hosting the Bolton and Bury Business Awards in his usual debonair style, with quips and one liners to make everyone smile.

With Norman anchoring the awards, ceremony guests can be assured they will have an enjoyable evening. To start there is a drinks reception and a chance to catch up with and meet old and new friends, and to exchange business cards.

After guests are seated there will be a welcome from the headline sponsors, Bolton Council and the University of Bolton, before a delicious dinner.

Then it is the main event — the Business Awards. There are nine awards to be won. And before the presentation to the prestigious Business of the Year, there will a surprise for someone in the audience as the annual Special achievement Award, given to someone who has made a difference, is presented.

To end the evening, there will be the disco to dance the rest of the night away.
