FUNDRAISING is ticking along nicely for repairs to a popular clock in Radcliffe.
The clock at St Thomas and St John's Church, in Blackburn Street, has been stuck at 11.30 since it stopped ticking several months ago.
It will cost more than £2,000 to repair and the church congregation are desperate for the work to be carried out.
The problem was reported by the Radcliffe Times in March and inspired Radcliffe Rotary Club to make a donation of £250.
The Reverend Chich Hewitt attended a recent meeting of the club to accept the donation.
It is the second clock that the club have helped to repair, after they gave £400 towards fixing the clock at the former town hall.
Anyone wishing to make a donation towards the repairs can contact parish treasurer Terry Atherton on (0161) 764 3717.
