THIS old photograph shows the former Queen’s Head pub in Horwich now converted to three stone mews houses.
The pub was on the edge of Rivington at the Crown and was an iconic local building.
The old photograph shows the pub in its hey day with a tram passing.
There is an open weekend this weekend, when the public can view the new properties in three two-hour windows.
It is an opportunity to live in a historic building that many people in Horwich will have memories of.
“The builder has done a superb job and one sold immediately once released a few weeks ago,” explained a spokesman for Redman Casey Estate Agents who are organising the sale of the properties.
