COMEDIAN Jerry Sadowitz is heading back to Bolton this weekend.

The funnyman and magician, who will be at The Albert Halls, on Saturday, promises to take your breath away, if not with his tricks then certainly with his controversial stand-up material.

Having appeared at the venue twice since November 2011, what can people expect from the latest show from Jerry — billed as one of the most offensive comedians on the planet but also one of the world’s most skilled and creative card magicians.

He said: “It will be different in that there will be fewer punters and maybe the show will have to be cancelled.”

What people can expect from his return to Bolton is to see amazing sleight of hand and some original magic projected onto a large screen.

Speaking of coming up with new tricks, he said: “I have been developing card tricks since I was 14 and I have a need to continue that.”

It was at the age of nine that Jerry says he fell for magic and has practised it seriously since he was 11.

One of finest sleight-of-hand magicians in the world, Jerry admits to being dazzled by Dai Vernon, a Canadian magician known as The Professor, who died in 1992 at the age of 98.

Speaking of the most impressive card trick he has seen, he said: “Vernon showing me a particular four ace production.”

When he is not coming up with new card tricks or performing on stage, Jerry has launched one day card magic seminars for beginners in London, in June and July.

He said: “I need the money. The course is genuinely serious though, if you're sincere about learning. It was developed with the total beginner in mind.”

Punched at the Montreal comedy festival, banned by his mum, thrown out of Australia, the 52-year-old continues to hang around the skirts of the entertainment industry like an albatross.

But do not expect to see him bantering with fans on social networks anytime soon.

Jerry, whose past shows have featured jibes about Jimmy Savile and Michael Jackson, said: “I hate Twitter, Facebook and almost everything else about the internet.”

Jerry Sadowitz will be at the Albert Halls at 8pm on Saturday, call 01204 334400 for tickets.
