CURVY and larger ladies from Bolton will be able to explore the latest in plus size fashion at a new event.

The Curve Fashion Festival, being held at Manchester Central on September 26, will bring together the biggest names from the plus size fashion industry from all over the world.

Attendees will have the chance to shop in the fashion hall, view catwalk shows, attend body confidence seminars and meet celebrity guests.

Zoe Ellis-Pennick, director of The Curve Fashion Festival, said: "We're absolutely delighted to be launching The Curve Fashion Festival in Manchester this September.

"It is our hope that this unique and exciting fashion festival will become the UK's largest plus size fashion and retail event."

By bringing the UK’s best fashion retailers and brands together under one roof, the festival will celebrate women of all shapes and sizes.

More than 50 high street and independent retailers are expected to trade at the event, including popular brands Lovedrobe and Elvi.

There will also be a Champagne bar, pop-up restaurant and onsite spa for guests to enjoy.

Internationally acclaimed plus size models Fluvia Lacerda and Tess Holliday will be attending the event.

With an Instagram following of more than 600,000, Holliday was recently signed by MiLK Model Management and is changing the face of the modern fashion industry, while continuing to inspire and empower women around the world.

Pioneering the #effyourbeautystandards social movement, Tess subverts traditional fashion conventions and encourages women to love their bodies, no matter what their shape or size.

She will be taking part in a meet and greet and will also feature as an industry panellist in one of the event seminars.

Other confirmations for the meet and greet section include acclaimed plus size model and daughter of American actor David Hasselhoff, Hayley Hasselhoff, and fashion blogger and plus size model, Louise O’Reilly.

The Curve Fashion Festival will also team up with SLiNK — the UK’s premier plus size fashion magazine — for a special edition of its September issue.

It will launch at the event and will include exclusive collaborative editorial, interviews and photo shoots.

Rivkie Baum, editor-in-chief, said: "SLiNK is incredibly excited to be working with The Curve Fashion Festival.

"We love the vision for this fantastic day out and, by creating a special edition SLiNK magazine for the event, we hope it will be a great momento for those attending.”
