AN award-winning singer will bring the sounds of The Drifters to Bolton on Saturday night.
The Richie Sampson's Drifters Tribute Revue will be at Grosvenor Casino, Moor Lane, to capture the magic of the past and reinvigorate a love for rock and roll classics.
The gig is part of a tour of Grosvenor Casinos and they will be supported on the night by Diana Ross tribute singer Tameka Jackson.
Mr Sampson, who has performed with long-standing members of The Drifters including Ray and Billy Lewis, Butch Leake and Roy Hemmings, said: "The casino shows have been going great and we can’t wait to perform in Bolton this weekend.
“I have long been a fan of the music of the Drifters and we’re looking forward to entertaining the audience with our show.”
Performing many of the famous band's top hits, including Under the Boardwalk, Up on the Roof and Kissing in the Back Row of the Movies, Richie Sampson’s Drifters Revue also write and perform their own original songs which are heavily influenced by the original Drifters.
They were winners of the 2013 UK Agency Association’s National Tribute Awards, organised by The Agent’s Association (GB).
