MORE than 70 acts will entertain music fans across five venues on Easter Sunday.

B Charity Music Festival is returning for a third year to Bolton town centre pubs and clubs and will also raise money for charities.

Bands including The Jade Assembly, Our Fold, Lime Chase, Bone Idols, Neurosync, The Evil Stepsisters and Faster Than Bulls will perform throughout the day.

A mix of indie, folk, acoustic, rock and metal, the venues taking part are the Blind Tiger and The Bar, both in Nelson Square, the Alma Inn and the Karaoke Bar, in Bradshawgate, and the Blue Boar, Deansgate.

Wristbands cost £3 for entry to all venues throughout the day.

The Bar will host live acoustic sessions from 1.30pm, the Alma will have outdoor and indoor stages and the Karaoke Bar's live entertainment kicks off at 6pm.

Organiser Dawn Price said: "B Festival returns for its third year, bringing a full day of music for music lovers whilst raising as much money as possible for local charities.

"Each bar has close links to the chosen charities they will be raising money for.

"The line-up this year is incredible, with something for everyone — from folk, pop, indie, rock, punk and metal, showcasing the best of Bolton talent on one day for only £3."

Singers on the line-up include Alicia Harrison, Mike Roberts, Janileigh Cohen, Dan Nicholls and James Holt.

The Karaoke Bar is hosting an urban stage with acts including Stacey Taylor, Danny Scott, Rocky Tyrie and a rap battle between Mercury and Kickz.

Each venue will be raising money for chosen charities — The Alma is supporting The Sanctuary: Bolton which helps people with mental health issues; The Blind Tiger is supporting Bolton Ear 4 Kidz which supports deaf children and their families and the Blue Boar is supporting Autism Aware.

B Charity Music Festival takes place on Easter Sunday, April 5 — £3 wristbands are available on the day and gain entry to all venues with money going to the charities.
