BOLTON band The Jade Assembly will launch their new single at an all-day music event next month.

The four-piece indie rock group will be at The Blind Tiger, Nelson Square, on the bank holiday weekend of Sunday, May 3, for the launch of One Last Time.

John Foster, along with bandmates Andy Watson, Danny Hayes and Gareth Smedley, will be joined by other musicians to celebrate the new release.

Performing on the night will be two-piece acoustic duo Raglan Road, guitarist Gaz Drury, from Our Fold, who will perform an acoustic set, Passengers, Lofthouse, Cloud Burst, Northstand and Feed the Kid.

John said: "We're really excited.

"It's got a lot of airplay this song, we've had a plugger involved.

"It's made quite a big difference, they've got the connections with the different radio stations.

"It's getting played on XFM, it's going to be played on BBC 6 Music.

"We're just looking for a big record label really. We want to be able to do the band full-time.

"This is the best line-up now. We have been doing it for four or five years and we've had a few changes.

"I think we are getting close to actually realising our dream at the moment.

"We are playing Kendal Calling, Ramsbottom Festival, we are picking up some good gigs now."

The bar will open at 3pm, entry is £3, and the live music will be followed by a club night until 4am.

The single, which is also being played on university radio stations in Manchester and London and as far afield as America, Germany and Croatia, will be released on Monday, May 4.

The Jade Assembly will perform at a party for the Bolton Wanderers players at The Macron Stadium's Premier Suite, after the last home game against Birmingham on Saturday, May 2.

He said: "We have played there for seven or eight years.

"They have been behind us since we started.

"They have been playing our single every home game, every time we've sent them a new song."

The Jade Assembly will also appear at Boltfest, taking place at Queens Park on May 23 and 24.

Tickets for the One Last Time launch party are available from Blind Tiger, Nelson Square.
