BOLTON indie-rockers Lofthouse will introduce their new line up at the Blind Tiger tomorrow night.

Original members including singer Craig Connor, guitarist Nick Dunn and bassist Kris Dunn will be joined by newer additions drummer Joe Lomax and guitarist Jamie Hartley.

The five-piece, who originally formed in April 2014 after a chance meet at another band's gig, hope to bring the house down with their newer, "edgier" sound.

The headliners will also share the stage with four-piece indie band The Nouvelles, from Wigan and Bolton, who kick off proceedings at 9pm.

Craig said: "This gig is a homecoming for us, we can't wait. The Blind Tiger is a great venue and we're really happy to be playing with The Nouvelles who are great lads.

"I think we have matured since we first got together. We used to be more poppy but now we're racier and edgier, so we're really looking forward to showing off our new line up and sound."

The band hope to play some material from their forthcoming EP.

Craig said: "We haven't released it properly but we're looking at doing that in September. We're also looking at doing an album and we can't wait to get back into the recording studio.

"We have about nine or 10 tracks now, so it's going really well. This is the first time that we have had proper stability in the band, which has come with our new line up, so we feel that this is the right time to start recording."

Lofthouse will be preceded by rising stars The Nouvelles who are tipped as ones to watch.

Bassist Rob Regan, who was born in Little Lever and now lives in Turton, said: "It will be a great gig. I don't think there has been a gig I've played where so many of my friends and family are coming to watch.

"Hopefully there will be a few people that pop by that haven't seen us before and we can access a whole new audience.

"It is great to be playing with Lofthouse. Their drummer and I are old friends and used to play in a band called Roam 6. We gigged quite a lot in Bolton. We were only young though so it's nice for us both to now be playing professionally."
