A YOUNG Farnworth DJ is set to release his debut single.

Thomas D, aka Tom Williams, will drop Flamenco, his first official outing as a producer, on May 4.

The track is released on Italian House label, AREA 94 Records, owned by Dance and Electronic music titan Frederico Scavo.

Mr Williams, aged 24, a former Walkden College student, said: "I'm really really happy with how it's come out. I don't think there's anything not to like. Everything went really really well."

Mr Williams first started DJing aged 15 in Bolton pubs and at weddings, before progressing in to producing.

Within two years, he was fully self employed and working part time while at college.

He now studies Electronic Music at Manchester audio engineering and music production school SSR.

He said: "I didn't really know what I wanted to do so I started on a Music Technology course and it all started from there really.

"When I did weddings it was more 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s classics, then I got in to Dance music as I was producing, and then started DJing that. I still DJ on Fridays and Saturdays."

Mr Williams now has further music in the pipeline and is hope to release another single in the coming months.

He is also heading to the five-day Amsterdam Dance Event, in the Netherlands, between October 17 and 21 where he will be networking with labels, producers and club owners in a bid to boost his fast-rising career.

Flamenco is out this Friday exclusively on Beatport for two weeks.

It will then be available across streaming and download services and in MP3 and WAV formats.
