NEW bands and artists have been added to the line up for this year's Head for the Hills Festival.
Twelve more acts will perform and entertain at the annual festival in Ramsbottom of music and family arts.
Joining the headliners The Boomtown Rats, The Bluetones and The Selecter and The Beat will be Tigerside, Discolypso, The Plumedores, Mano McLaughlin, KOALAS, The Happy Soul, Stephen James Smith, Diving Station, Throw Them Bones, Jez Mansfield Magician, the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band and Bury Community Choir.
Acts announced previously include Bury rockers Urban Theory.
There is also plenty of homegrown Manchester talent too with Salford post-punk duo Giant Boys, singer-songwriter Jess Kemp, retro five-piece Lyla and psychedelic soul and bubblegum-pop infusers The Creature Comfort.
Head for the Hills is an award-winning weekend featuring over fifty artists and musicians including international acts, emerging UK talent and local heroes.
The festival takes place at Ramsbottom Cricket Ground on September 14 to 16.
Tickets go up in price soon and those who book by Tuesday, July 31 can buy them at a discounted rate.
