PUPILS from a Prestwich school 'netted' a sporting trophy by showing off their netball skills.
Children from Butterstile Primary School beat other schools to win the Prestwich and Whitefield Sports Association netball tournament at Higher Lane Primary School in Whitefield.
In the final, Butterstile beat St Bernadette's Primary School 14-5, ensuring they retained the trophy that they had won three times in the previous four years.
Also competing were teams from Heaton Park, Whitefield, St Mary's, St Michael's, Higher Lane, Ribble Drive, Mersey Drive, Our Lady of Grace and Park View primary schools.
