A BURY cinema will be showing a special live performance of Verdi's opera Rigoletto on Tuesday January 16.
Presented by The Royal Opera, the performance will be shown at Vue Bury at 7.15pm.
Described by Verdi himself as his "best opera" the story follows Rigoletto, the Duke of Mantua's cursed, hunchbacked court jester, as he plots to protect his daughter from the Duke's immoral attention.
Featuring a dark, renaissance set and costumes, and starring an all-star ensemble, the opera is directed by David McVicar.
Puccini's Tosca is the next opera in the ROH live cinema season, showing February 7.
