BURY Support Group for Marie Curie Cancer Care would like to thank all the people of Bury, Whitefield and Radcliffe for their generous support in time and money raising a fantastic total £5,600 during the Christmas collections held in Tesco, Superdrug, Poundworld and Summerseat Garden Centre.

The staff from these shops have been brilliant and the drinks and support have gone down very well with our superb collectors, who generously give up their time to collect for us all year round.

We have been told that the country is in trouble, but as you can see by the actions of the Bury People, charity does begin at home.

We as a group know that the money raised from Bury people stays in Bury, and is used to help Bury's dying patients stay at home with the support of a Marie Curie Nurse.

Thank you for all your help raising awareness of the charity through articles over the passed years and l know that

this has helped the group raise more than £150,000 since we started in 2005.

We look forward in 2017 for another bountiful year.
