I WOULD like to congratulate those selfless volunteers who, over recent months, have made a real difference to Hollins village.
They have given hours to sprucing up overgrown public areas and putting in lots of new plants. I'm assuming that this same group is also responsible for providing the new bright green litter bins. As a comparative new-comer to Hollins - I've only been here for 21 years - it is a real pleasure to drive through the village and note the improvements.
Surely this is a practice worth copying by other local areas and would make such a difference to residents' lives.
