LEAVE the travellers alone! After reading a few news stories concerning travellers being moved from pillar to post' by the authorities, I feel I want to say something in their defence.

These people live in peace outside the so-called rat race society that the rest of the population put up with in daily life. They do not cause public interference with residential society, nor cause acts of public disorder or violent acts of crime, unlike the rest of us who live in what we call modern world society.

Most travellers live in harmony with Planet Earth, and have full respect for it - do we, in all sincerity, care enough?

You think you are truly free, think again, you're given that and the other - enslaved, civil rights and freedoms reduced by authoriatianism - enslaved.

So come on authorities, who has really got it right man!!

The dirty GYP's should get jobs, stop sponging, stealing and pay taxes. Leaving the towns of Greater Manchester to pick up the bills to clean up the dirty nappies, cans of tennants super and mess left by these gypo's is hardly an example of them living in harmony with the planet. Stephen take those rose tinted spectacles off regarding these sponging gypo's.

I have no objection to the way these people live but if they don't contribute via taxes, NI etc then they can't claim benefits.
It seems it's ok to take money off the enslaved !

Quite apart from the question of legitimacy in claiming benefits when (often) employed there are other reasons to resent this attitude. The recent occupation of Wellington Street in Bury ended with human faeces and discarded toilet paper along the first part of the canal towpath. This does not with Stephen Worthington's idea that travellers have regard for the environment but it is even worse. A quick look around any traveller site (established or temporary) will reveal dumped items from fridges to gas cylinders ready to leak toxins into the local water source.

However, the worst aspect is that too many travellers do not respect property and seem to believe they have a right to steal. It may be admirable to have a different outlook to life but not when that outlook infringes on the liberties of other people.
