MEN are being invited to take part at this year's Cancer Research fundraiser in Heaton Park in memory of footballing legend Bobby Moore.
A separate men-only Run for Moore is being held alongside the annual women's Race for Life.
Bury FC have been helping to promote the event, which will be held on Sunday, June 1 at 2pm - the day after the women's event.
Whereas the Race for Life is held at about 250 venues across the country, only six Run for Moore events will be held this year - at London, Oxford, Bristol, Hull, and Ipswich, as well as Heaton Park.
The 5km runs are organised by the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK, which was created by Moore's widow, Stephanie, following his death from bowel cancer in 1993.
All the money raised will be used to fund research into the detection, prevention and treatment of bowel cancer. About 35,000 people are diagnosed with the disease every year in the UK - enough to fill the entire West Ham stadium where Bobby Moore played. The former England captain was 51-years-old when he died. The Bobby Moore Fund has raised £10 million so far. Men can enter the Heaton Park event at www.runformoore.org/manchester
