An elderly woman was cut out of her car following a motorway crash.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the roof and free the woman from her Fiat car on the M66.
The vehicle had collided with another at 10.10am today. The woman complained of back pain.
It was on the northbound carriageway between J2 at Bury and J1 at Ramsbottom.
