Several Bury schools were switched on when it came to energy saving.
Organised by EDF Energy’s national education programme, the Switch Off Fortnight campaign encouraged schools to reduce their energy consumption and inspire families and friends to adopt the same habits.
Eleven schools in Bury were among nearly 4,000 schools taking part.
They were: Holcombe Brook Primary, Our Lady Of Lourdes RC Primary, Edenfield CE Primary, Bury Grammar School for Girls, St Marie’s RC Primary, Sunny Bank Primary, St Gabriel’s RC High, Bury and Whitefield Jewish Primary, Peel Brow Primary, St Andrew’s CE Primary, and St Peter’s CE Primary.
