STRONG winds have blown down a tree and blocked a busy main road in Bury.
The tree fell into Manchester Road, at the junction with Dumers Lane, shortly before 1.15pm.
Fortunately no-one was injured and no vehicles were hit by the tree.
The road was blocked and police officers are in attendance to manage traffic.
The tree is being removed by Bury Council staff and a second tree is expected to be felled to prevent it also falling.
Send your pictures of the fallen tree to gaynor.clarke@burytimes.co.uk.
