A LITTLE girl enjoyed a fairytale birthday celebration when she and her excited friends travelled in a pink Cinderella Pumpkin horse-drawn wedding carriage around the town.

Snow forced the cancellation of the carriage trip last Saturday, but Mia Hudson-Cryer’s initial disappointment turned to joy the next day when the distinctive horse and coach arrived at her home in Lansdowne Close, Ramsbottom, from Blackpool promenade.

The day proved one to remember as Mia and 17 friends undertook three trips in the carriage, much to the delight of passers-by who waved and cheered as the horse and coach made its way through the town.

The youngster, who celebrated her sixth birthday on Friday, wore a gown and tiara and looked every inch a princess. The entrance to Mia’s home was decorated with balloons and she and her friends also enjoyed crafts and a birthday party.

Proud mum, Rachel Hudson, said: “Despite having to swap days, due to the snow, Mia’s princess party was fantastic. The horse and carriage gave six princesses at a time a half-hour ride around Ramsbottom centre.

“The children all loved it and they waved to passers-by and posed for photographs during the journey. The other children enjoyed crafts and had their hair glittered while they waited patiently for their carriage ride.”

Mrs Hudson added: “Only one girl couldn’t make the new date on the Sunday after the coach was cancelled on the Saturday due to the snow.

“They all thoroughly enjoyed it. Mia is our little princess.”
