Apprenticeships up for grabs next week

MORE than 100 apprenticeships will be up for grabs in a series of events in Bury to mark National Apprentice Week.
For youngsters not currently in employment, education or training who want the opportunity the climb the career ladder, there are vacancies in catering, hair and beauty, administration, childcare, customer service, electrical, health and social care, IT, retail, dentistry and teaching.
Events in Bury to mark the week start on Monday at unit 26, Mill Gate shopping centre. The Antony for Hair Academy with business owner Antony Popadich, will be giving a live demonstration.
On Tuesday, there will be a Training for Today event with demonstrations of nail art, hair spraying, face-painting and make-up taster sessions. On Wednesday, Bury College will be giving a demonstration on the catering industry, with tasty treats to show wannabe bakers how to decorate chocolate and cupcakes.
On Thursday, there will be the chance to meet local business leaders in a Back to the Floor event. On Friday, March 15, there will be a showcase by successful apprentices.

As they arrive, visitors should be sent to the Information kiosk down near Poundland, to ask for a long stand and a left-handed screwdriver!
