I Am Kloot step in as last-minute Ramsbottom Festival headliners
MANCHESTER band I am Kloot have stepped in as last-minute headliners at the Ramsbottom Festival after The Futureheads pulled out.
The Sunderland four-piece were set to top the bill on Friday, however I am Kloot, who headlined the event in 2012, will now replace them.
The three-piece’s sixth studio album Let It All In was produced by Guy Garvey and Craig Potter of Elbow, and was released in January.
In a statement The Futureheads said: “The Futureheads are extremely disappointed to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances we will no longer be able to perform at Ramsbottom Festival this weekend.
“We know from your messages that lots of you were looking forward to seeing us and we are gutted that we won’t be able to perform for you.
“We hope you still have a great weekend at this brilliant festival and we hope to see you soon."
Festival director, David Agnew added: "We are really grateful to I Am Kloot for stepping in last minute, we know the Rammy Festival crowd will love them - Kloot will make the opening night one to remember."
Anyone who no longer wants to attend the festival on Friday because of The Futureheads' cancellation can obtain a refund by calling 0161 761 2216 before 12pm tomorrow. (Friday)
