Citizens Advice Bureau: Supporters put best foot forward to help
1:52pm Wednesday 9th October 2013 in News
ABOUT 30 people took some big strides forward in aid of the Bury District Citizens Advice Bureaux.
They took part in a sponsored walk from the Prestwich Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) office in Fairfax Road to Radcliffe, where the Lock Keeper pub in Mill Bank, provided the walkers with refreshments at the completion of their trek.
Henry Freeman, chairman of the Bury District CAB trustee board, said: “We’ve raised £250 thanks to the sponsored event which will go towards the CAB.
“We have so many demands for our service.”
Bury District CAB has two offices, one in Prestwich and another in Blackburn Street, Radcliffe. It is hoped that in the future, a third office will be set up in Bury where the CAB previously operated for many years.
