BURY FC Community Trust is looking for “team players” to support its of activities.

It wants to identify businesses to help with sponsorship for the trust’s 46 schools.

The independent charity was established in 2007 to deliver a range of activities to benefit the local community.

Today, the Community Trust works with around 40,000 local people across the whole of the community, from the little kickers programme, helping to introduce football to three and four year-olds, to Ability Counts, its disability football teams.

It also operates a Nifty Fifty Football, a walking football activity for men aged over 50 who want to get fit and still have a love of playing football, albeit at a more relaxed pace.

However, its slogan. “More than just football” is appropriate as the trust offers a full range of other interests. These include: Memory Lane, a programme aimed at tackling the early onset dementia; the Mobile Gym; Baby Buggy Boot Camp; and a male weight programme, “Drop a shirt size”.

There is also a full programme of school activities, holiday camps and development centres.

In total: l More than 7,500 participants attend a mobile gym session each year l 2,750 disabled young people access a Community Trust activity each year l 400 pupils each week take part in a session organised by the trust.

l Almost 10,000 young people attend a holiday camp activity each year.

To help grow the activities, the trust has developed a number of sponsorship opportunities and packages for local businesses.
