Two men charged with kidnapping and shooting Whitefield man
TWO men have been charged in connection with an incident in whch a Whitefield man was kidnapped and shot.
Anthony James Leonard, aged 25, of Mouselow Close, Hadfield, Glossop, and Michael Thomas Sierotko, aged 24, of Sunlaw Street, Glossop, have both been charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to blackmail.
Both are due to appear before Bury Magistrates on February 5.
The charges relate to an incident on Sunday, September 8, when police were told that 28-year-old Neil Hazelwood from Whitefield had failed to return to his home.
He was found later in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, with a gunshot wound. He has since recovered from his injury.
