A story of the effects of global warming on the local village green is the latest production by the Summerseat Players.

Crown Prince, written by John Godber, features the story of a group of pensioners who are initially sceptical about global warming, but over the years their beloved bowling club is one of the only things not under water.

The theatre group will preview the show next Thursday, a charity performance will be staged on Friday, January 17 to boost charity coffers for the Ramsbottom Soroptimists and Rotary Club and the play it will then run from January 18 until January 25, exclduing Sunday.

Tickets cost £6.50 for the preview, £8.50 from Monday to Thursday and £9 on Friday and Saturday.

Performances start at 7.45pm.
