CROSS Lane in Radcliffe has reopened after it was closed when a vacant pub's roof collapsed, trapping a 36-year-old man inside.
A council spokesman said one lane of the road is now open to traffic and is to be managed with temporary traffic lights.
It is believed the injured man was a contractor who was checking the structure of the building, formerly The George pub, before buying it from its current owners to turn into four apartments.
He was rescued by police and taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
One woman, a resident of the house next to the pub in Cross Lane, was evacuated but was told on Monday it was safe to return.
Inspectors from the Health and Safety Executive are now investigating the incident.
A Bury Council spokesman previously said it was hoped the road would be reopened within 48 hours.
A police spokesman said: "The police attended and cordoned off the area for the safety of the public.
"The man had scans for his injuries but at this time they are not of major concern."
