SUPPORTERS of a Prestwich charity are putting on a fundraising bash.
Kindhearted Bury woman Emma Waite has organized a Pig Out and Party event in aid of MedEquip4kids, which is providing equipment for the children’s A&E department at Fairfield Hospital.
It takes place at the Elizabethan Suite at the town hall at 7.30pm on Saturday and guests will be treated to an action-packed dance performance from talented members of Active Bury before enjoying a meal.
They will then listen to the sounds of covers band Le Funk before dancing the night away to a DJ.
There are some top raffle prizes on offer, including a luxury stay at The Village Hotel in Bury.
Emma, aged 25, of Raven Street, Bury, said: “I’ve never done anything like this before but I am delighted to be helping such a worthy cause.
“My friend and I were looking on the internet for a charity to support and we came across MedEquip4kids.
“It’s been a lot of hard work putting on the event, but I’ve had a lot of support from so many people and ticket sales are going well.
“I really hope the event is a success and that together we can raise enough funds to make a difference by improving the lives of the children receiving medical care in Bury.”
Sarah Suthers, of MedEquip4kids, said: “Children deserve the best healthcare and it’s crucial that all the right equipment and facilities are on hand to give them the best possible chance of a healthy future. “We’re so grateful to Emma Waite for her amazing support.”
Tickets cost £23 and are available from Emma on 07455 198 146.
