Tuneful pupils at Greenmount Primary School took part in a mass singalong — with the help of a former X Factor star.
Children in years five and six joined in with hundreds of pupils from schools across the North West to take part in the Young Voices Concert at Manchester’s Phones 4U Arena.
They spent the afternoon rehearsing for the concert to ensure they were ready for the live performance in front of parents and other family members.
The day was topped off when the pupils sang alongside Stacey Solomon, pictured, who came third in the X Factor in 2009.
Headteacher David Griffith said: “The day was fantastic. It gave the children the opportunity to work on a longer term music project, with the climax being able to perform their work to a large audience.”
