A former model has celebrated a year in business after snapping up the chance to move behind the camera.

Sarah Corrie, aged 27, opened her photography studio Star One Media on The Rock in Bury after taking a career break following the birth of her son.

She has previously had small roles in TV dramas, and also won the Miss Manchester Model Girl Charity competition in 2009.

Now, part of her business is Video Marketing Media, which provides businesses with promotional videos. Sarah, who studied at Woodhey High School in Ramsbottom, said: “I have always wanted to create videos for business, so I decided I would start doing it.

“My team and I are now producers of videos for businesses across the UK.”

Since studying at Bury College in 2006, Sarah moved to the David Johnson Drama School in Manchester.

Her photography studio specialises in offering headshots for models and actors as well as portraits for families. Sarah, from Bury, added: “During my time at Bury College I developed my team-working skills and really enjoyed learning new things.”
