A MAN who breached his anti-social behaviour order again has been spared jail.

David Newton, aged 44, of Victoria Street, Ramsbottom, was given his first ASBO in 2011 after causing trouble in Ramsbottom town centre.

He was given a second ASBO last October by Bury magistrates, banning him from playing music and entering certain shops and pubs.

A month later, Newton annoyed his neighbours by playing loud music and also used foul language to staff at Morrison’s supermarket — which resulted in him serving a 16-week jail term imposed by Bury magistrates.

Newton appeared back before the bench last week where he admitted breaching the ASBO by being drunk in public and playing loud music.

Magistrates gave him one last chance, by sentencing him to two months in prison, suspended for a year, and a 12-month supervision order.
