A LORRY crashed on the M66 motorway this morning  causing delays.

The Argos lorry was attempted to join the motorway and fell onto its side on the slip road at 9.05am.

Police closed the entry road at Junction 3 for Hollins on the southbound side of the road until just after 2.30pm.

Noone was injured.
