JUNE downpours did nothing to dampen the spirits of music and festival fans as Parklife got under way.
The event kicked off today as the heavens opened and revellers arrived at Heaton Park kitted out in wellies.
From Kiesza and Foxes on the main stage to Bondax in the Now Wave tent and DJs on the WHP Presents stage, there was plenty to get the party started.
At about 5.30pm, the clouds made way for glorious sunshine and the crowd in front of the main stage let out a cheer to the skies as the mud squelched underfoot.
Later, all eyes will be on the main stage as US gangster rap legend Snoop Dogg graces Prestwich with his presence - programmed for 9.30pm.
Other highlights of Saturday's line-up are Rudimental, Annie Mac, Katie B, A$AP Rocky, Gorgon City and Shy FX.
