FIREFIGHTERS were called to an industrial estate after a car caught fire.

Crews based in Bury went to Woolfold Industrial Estate off Miller Street, Elton, at 9.45pm yesterday to put up the fire in the Ford Focus estate.

A Fire Service spokesman said his crew were there for 30 minutes and there were signs that the vehicle had been deliberately set alight.

He added: “We’ve referred the matter to the police and are hopeful that one of the businesses in the vicinity will be able to provide CCTV footage of what happened.”

Call police on 101 with information.
