FLYING the flag for England and hoping for World Cup glory.
That’s a group of traders in Colville Drive, Bury, who have united to support their country.
Their shops are now decked out in bunting and flags , with pride of place taken by an inflatable soccer player in an England jersey.
Well-known florist Margaret Henshaw kicked off the whole idea when she decorated her shop.
Kev Murji next door at Bargain Booze followed suit and soon all five shops were decked out in the flag of St George and red and white bunting.
Ms Henshaw said: “I love football and I put up decorations every time Manchester United or Manchester City go to Wembley.
"All five shops here are joining in. The children at St Stephen’s Primary School behind us love it as do the local old folk who all say they feel part of it.
"One way or another, it’s all worth it because of the fun and banter it brings.”
