PHOTOGRAPHS of twelve potential witnesses have been released by police in a bid to track down the killer of a reveller who was attacked at Parklife Festival.

Robert, aged 26, was punched once in the head and possibly a second time in the chest at about 9.15pm on June 7 during the festival in Heaton Park.

He was dancing with his girlfriend Gemma Parry to the right of the main stage when he was involved in a row after Gemma was hit by an inflatable doll.

Robert, from Macclesfield, suffered brain damage and died on June 11, five days after the attack.

His attacker has still not been found and Greater Manchester Police has released images of 12 potential witnesses they believe could know crucial details.

A previously unseen photograph of Robert and Gemma at the festival has also been issued in the hope of jogging the memories of people who may have seen the attack.

Det Insp Richard Eales, who is leading the investigation, said: “We would like to stress that these 12 people are not in any trouble whatsoever, but we believe they could unknowingly have mobile phone footage or pictures which could be crucial to the investigation.

“While we have already received hundreds of images, we still need more.

“If you were to the right of the main stage between 9pm and 9:45pm please get in touch.”

Crimestoppers have added £3,000 to the £20,000 reward offered by Parklife’s organisers for information leading to the successful conviction of the man responsible.

The attacker is described as a mixed race male, in his mid-20s and about 6ft 1in tall.

He had a muscular build, short dark hair that was shaved at the sides and was wearing a dark, waist-length jacket and dark shorts.

He was with a white woman, aged 20 to 23, and about 5ft 7in tall, who was wearing a pink top with a dark jacket.
