POLICE have released CCTV images of men they wish to speak to in relation to a robbery in Bury.

At around 7.15pm on Wednesday July 30, two 14-year-old boys were walking down Haymarket Street in Bury town centre when they were approached by three men.

They were pushed into a nearby subway, where the men demanded they hand over their mobile phones or they would be assaulted.

After taking their phones, the men then searched the boys’ pockets, removing cash from a wallet and shouting ‘Don’t tell anyone” as they ran off.

The first offender is described as an Asian man, aged between 16 and 18, around 5ft 8in tall with a slim build and facial hair.

He was wearing a navy Adidas tracksuit with stripes on the arms.

The second offender is an Asian man, aged between 16 and 18, 5ft 10in tall, medium build and wearing a grey tracksuit with green detail.

The third offender is an Asian man, 5ft 10in tall, medium build with a nervous disposition and wearing a navy tracksuit.

Detective Constable Carolyn Morley, of Bury Police, said: “These men used fear and intimidation tactics to scare two young boys into doing what they wanted.

“They stole two valuable phones and even stripped the boys of what little money they had in the process.

“This happened in a busy town centre at broad daylight and I am under no illusions that these men will continue to offend unless they are caught.

“If you recognise the men from these pictures please contact Police on the numbers below.”
