BURY Radio Society proved it was on the right "wavelength" when it was part of a nationwide event to celebrate the country's preserved railways.
Members established a radio station at the East Lancashire Railway's station in Ramsbottom last Saturday and Sunday to coincide with the UK-wide Railways on the Air (ROTA).
ROTA takes place annually to celebrate the anniversary of the first steam powered passenger railway event which took place on September, 1825.
Bishop Auckland Amateur Radio Club co-ordinates the annual ROTA event.
Throughout the weekend, Bury Radio Society used the call sign GB0ELR, and the amateur radio station was set up on the platform at Ramsbottom station.
Radio contact was made with many other radio stations in the country, spreading the knowledge of the railway.
