A YOUNG singer from Tottington has had her voice immortalised on record after winning a competition to join a children’s pop group.

Katie Brooks, aged five, was one of eight youngsters who travelled to a studio in Yorkshire to record the song, which will be played at Wacky Warehouse restaurants across the country, and given away on CD in party goody bags.

She sang on the song, named ‘It’s Wacky’, as part of the restaurant’s Little Singers group and also appeared on a music video to accompany the song.

It is now available to purchase on iTunes, with profits going towards Children in Need.

The talented youngster, who attends Elton Primary School, also attends the Tracing Steps drama group at Tottington High School on Saturdays, where she enjoys singing and dancing.

Proud mum Jane, of Bury Road, said: “She really loved the day, and it will be a nice memento to show her when she is older.”
