"GALLOPING gourmet" Simon Wood has proved he's hot stuff too when it comes to running.
For the contestant in BBC One's MasterChef programme swapped the heat of the kitchen for the heat of a competitive race in Radcliffe.
The 38-year-old was among 311 runners who took part in last Sunday's Radcliffe AC 10k event, which started off close to Cams Lane Primary School.
He completed it in a time of 51 minutes 59 seconds, finishing in 163rd place.
Simon, a father-of-four from Chadderton, has been taking part in the TV contest which climaxes on Friday April 24.
