FOLK singer Bella Hardy returns to Bury tonight.
Nine months since her last appearance at The Met, she will grace the main theatre stage at 8pm.
Her new album, With The Dawn, was written over a period of a year and seems to have taken a departure from her usual style, as it features no traditional folk songs.
The 2104 Folk Singer Of The Year said: “I've always kept a kind of 'creative diary'.
"It's just thoughts and feelings jotted down every day, often in the form of poems and lyrics," she said.
"I do it more so when I'm travelling.
"All the songs were written on the road, or composed from notes from my diary at that time.
"I don't see it as a departure from my previous work at all.
"I've always written like this, but usually blended my own notes and thoughts with my love of traditional music.
"Because I was travelling all the time I had less of a chance to do this."
