A RADCLIFFE pub is "toast of the town" after raising £1,500 for Bury Hospice.

It is the latest in a series of donations which the Hare and Hounds have made to the hospice over the last few years.

The Outwood Road pub has been a regular supporter of Bury Hospice and has raised thousands of pounds for the good cause.

An Easter egg hunt, an outside concert on the pub bowling green, as well as the proceeds of a collection bottle all contributed towards the four-figure sum.

Once the collection bottle is full, regulars take part in a "guess the amount" competition, with the winner receiving a gallon of ale.

Pub manager Sal Dahouchi, who has been at the Hare and Hounds for more than six years, thanked his generous patrons, who had helped raise the latest amount over the past five months.
