PEOPLE can now tour a Ramsbottom care home from the comfort of their own living room.

Lavender Hills Care Home is embracing the power of technology so that people can take a tour of the home without physically visiting it.

Bosses at the home in Stubbins Vale Road have installed a Google virtual tour on its website, taking viewers on a trip around the property and surrounding 12-acre gardens.

The care home is owned by Millennium Care UK, a family-run business which has six similar homes across Lancashire.

Home manager Helen Inman said: “We are delighted to be able to offer this new facility, enabling people to see around our beautiful home and what it offers.

“Earlier this year we launched a website for Lavender Hills so that we could specifically show people what it offers our residents as well demonstrating our ethos of providing high quality care.

“We noticed that we have website visitors from across Lancashire and further afield, so it made sense to be able to show them more of the home before they take a trip out to see us and meet the team.

“We’re very proud of our home and facilities and this means people can see the details for themselves.

“Families and friends from afar can now see the setting their loved ones are in and also write an email or send them an e-card via our website.”
