A MOTORCYCLIST suffered a fractured pelvis, left wrist and cheek after a crash in Bury.
Emergency services were called to an accident involving a car and a motorbike, at the junction of Crostons Road and Tottington Road, shortly before 3pm yesterday.
Firefighters freed a pregnant 39-year-old woman from her vehicle using specialist cutting equipment.
She was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital’s maternity unit to be checked over but was later discharged with no injuries.
The motorcyclist was taken to North Manchester General Hospital, where he remains, suffering a fractured pelvis, fractured left wrist and fractured cheek.
Police closed the junction for several hours while the accident was cleared.
