STAFF members from Bridge House Care Home in Bury also mucked in for the good cause.
For they raised more than £300 by taking part in the same Pretty Muddy event at Heaton Park in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The determined team tore their way through an obstacle course during the annual women’s challenge, treading through hilly terrain, scaling cargo nets, and crawling through tunnels in their fundraising quest.
To add some colour, the group from the home in Topping Fold Road donned pink gear from head-to-toe, including frilly tutus and t-shirts.
Home manager Marie Davenport said: “The race was tough but we all got through it together. Cancer Research UK does really important work and we were delighted to be able to raise money for the cause. The atmosphere was wonderful and huge congratulations to everyone else who took part.”
