MANCHESTER United legend, Denis Irwin, helped a Bury nursery net £800 during a charity fundraising day.
The long-serving left-back attended Pumpkin Patch Nursery School’s fundraiser for the Millie’s Trust charity.
The charity was set up by Stockport residents, Joanne and Dan Thompson, after their nine month old daughter died in a choking incident at the nursery she attended.
Millie's Trust campaigned to have the law changed regarding paediatric first aid in nurseries and now holds affordable training courses for families across the country.
The Pumpkin Patch is the first place in Bury to hold such training sessions, attracting a dozen to a the session on September 19.
