IN her weekly blog, SuperJosh founder Dawn Fidler brings the charity's latest news

OVER the past couple of weeks, I have talked about some of the ways we help families, but not all of our help us financial giving.

One of the really important things to me about Josh's charity is that we can help and support families using all the learnings, challenges and experiences that we've been through during the 11 years following Josh’s diagnosis.

We work with families providing help, advice and support, as well as financial and grievance counselling, complimenting professional support with real family experiences.

This can have a huge impact on a family when they need an extra bit of support.

A few weeks ago, our SuperJosh Van went to meet its maker.

It was a bit of a blow as dad uses the van to pick up bits and pieces and run our stock, etc, around town.

However, thanks to Mike Prince and the team at RRG Nissan in Bury, they found a way to get us a new one.

RRG and a number of other local businesses have all clubbed together to sponsor the van for us.

We are so honoured and grateful and can’t believe the support everyone has provided.

Thank you so much, and when you see dad out on the roads, give him a wave!

We are really looking forward to race night on October 17, which is being held to raise funds for both ourselves and Bury Hospice, both the Mayor’s Charities for this year.

We really hope to see you there. Tickets are on sale via our website.

We will also be out and about at Bury Night Light on Friday, October 16, so hope we will get to see lots of you there as well.

It’s always a fab night with so much to see and do.
